The series is an adaptation by TMS Entertainment aired from July to September 2021.

Seirei Gensouki Season 2 Release Date?
The first seasons of Seirei Gensouki aired on July 6, 2021, on TV Tokyo, BS Fuji, and AT-X.
Though the renewal of the show has been officially confirmed by the makers, they haven’t yet declared the release date. However, the filming of the show began in November – and it is set to be wrapped up by the end of this year. Having said that, we can expect season 2 to be released in the middle of this year.

The storyline of the series shows the journey of Haruto Amakawa, a young man named Rio who died before he could reunite with his childhood friend who disappeared five years ago.
Rio who belongs to a lower middle-class family and lives in the slums of the Bertram Kingdom wants revenge on behalf of his mother, who was murdered in front of him when he was five years old.

Seirei Gensouki is a Japanese light novel written by Yuri Kitayama and illustrated by Riv. It was serialized on the novel publishing website Shousetsuka ni Narou – between February 2014 to October 2020. The series was imprinted under HJ Bunko in October 2015.
As of January 2023, there are 22 volumes that have been released in Japan. The upcoming 23rd volume entitled “Spring’s drama” is planned to be released on February 1, 2023. J-Novel Club licensed the light novel in North America. They have almost caught up with the latest Japanese release. Their 21st-volume translation was released on December 19, 2022.
