Rawson Marshall Thurber directed movie, Red Notice has finally got a release date. Originally the highly anticipated film was scheduled for a 2020 winter release date, however, due to the halt in global production, it was pushed further. The streaming giant, Netflix has acquired the rights of Red Notice on 8th July 2019. It is said that the streamer has put a lot of money at stake in this project, approximately 160-200 million dollars. Red Notice features Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds in lead roles. What is Red Notice About?
The film centres on two infamous criminals- Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) a conman and “The Bishop” also known as the art thief (Gal Gadot) as they form quite an unusual alliance with the FBI profiler John Harley (Dwayne Johnson) for a very risky yet dangerous heist.
Who is in the cast of Red Notice?
Red Notice stars A-list casts with some of the popular names in Hollywood. Dwayne Johnson plays the role of FBI’s top profiler ‘whereas Deadpool’s fame Ryan Reynolds would be seen in the role of a conman. Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot is going to play the art thief. Joining them would be Chris Diamantopoulos and Ritu Arya. Although not much has been revealed about their roles yet.
The film also has a bunch of versatile and talented people in the background. To name a few, Beau Flynn for FlynnPictureCo; Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia for Seven Bucks Productions; and Thurber are the film’s producers. Interestingly, Thurber has also penned down the script of Red Notice. With all this said, there are high hopes from Red Notice given its cast and high-end budget. Time will reveal if the film lives up to the expectations of the fans worldwide.
