When the third season was launched, fans were to know if there’ll be a fourth season of this wonder series. But sadly, Netflix canceled the series for a fourth-season run.
The series is created and written by Jon Iver Helgaker along with Jonas Torgersen and developed by Viafilm and NRK. It stars Kåre Conradi, Nils Jørgen Kaalstad, Trond Fausa Aurvåg, Silje Torp, and Henrik Mestad.
When the third season dropped on Netflix in July 2022, it earned a place on the line for three days for the top ten list of most popular songs in the UK, but it did not enter the top ten. Nevertheless, the series is quite popular among the audience although many were stunned to learn why the series was canceled.

Is Season 4 of Norsemen Cancelled?
Unfortunately, the series has been officially cancelled. The announcement was made through a statement that was posted on the show’s official twitter handle. They also disclosed that Barbarians will not be returning with the fourth season on Netflix in the future, adding: “That’s when you feel depressed when you realize there won’t be a season 4 on Netflix.”
It continued: “We hope to discover innovative methods to provide you with additional Norsemen in the future, but for the time being, please enjoy the first three seasons of the show. It was a lot of fun for all of us, and we appreciate you tuning in.”
Many fans were saddened by the sudden cancellation announcement of their favorite series. Some fans even signed a petition to bring back the series but Netflix’s decision remains unfazed.
The director also said: “Norsemen has developed into one of the finest comedic films to be made in the previous 20 years, (Or, to be more honest, since Monty Python and the Holy Grail.) Please accept my sincere thanks for everything, and I wish everyone the best of luck in the future.”
