Latto who formerly went by the name of Mulatto is an emerging rapper who won a Billboard award alongside singer Jungkook for their hit song ‘Seven’ last month. Having officially commenced her rapping career in 2019, Latto is now one of the fastest growing rappers in the industry with a consistent fanbase. Latto is also active on her social media profiles through which she interacts with her fans. Within the short span of her career commencement, Latto seems to be thriving well as her recent post indicates where the rapper allegedly made a million dollars this weekend.

Latto was the winner of the first season of the television show ‘The Rap Game’ in which she participated as Miss Mulatto. This was followed by the release of her first single titled ‘Bitch From da Souf’. Her name would later be shortened from Mulatto to Latto which was followed by the release of her album ‘777’. In July 2023, HYBE Labels released the music video to a version of Jungkook’s song ‘Seven’ featuring Latto. Some of her lines from the song are ‘Tightly take control/ Tightly take his soul/ Take your phone, put it in the camera roll’ and ‘You make Mondays feel like weekends/ I make him never think about cheatin’/ Got you skipping work and meetings’. In December, Latto accepted an award for ‘Top Global K-Pop song’ (at the Billboard Music Awards) on behalf of herself and Jungkook. In her speech, she thanked both the artists’ fans for their love and support.
Latto was recently featured in Luh Tyler’s ‘The Grinch Freestyle’ with the music video having been released in December 2024. The music video and the song seems to rely heavily on themes associated with the character ‘Grinch’ , a popular Christmas villain from children’s books on whom several films have been made.
