Jim Loach’s upcoming direction is a feature film tilted as, ‘Dancing Tree’ which will focus on a protagonist who is differently abled. Following the premiere of his film, ‘Measure of a Man’, Jim Loach will be working on a different genre altogether with Scott Rashap composing the film’s screenplay. Some of the other works of Jim Loach include, ‘Oranges and Sunshine’ which premiered in 2016 and ‘Victoria – Comfort and Joy’ which is based on a popular painting. Scott Rashap is an emerging writer whose works include, ‘Toru’ which premiered in 2017, ‘Recovery’ which premiered in 2019 and more. Other members of the crew for ‘Dancing Tree’ are producers Karl Hartman, Edwin Thomas and Kiah Amara. Karl Hartman is the Managing Partner of Big Indie Pictures, a production comapny who will be taking up the development of the upcoming feature film alongside Indievisible Entertainment. Edwin Thomas is primarily known as an actor and his works include, ‘The Laureate’ a thriller, ‘Victoria’ which ran for 3 seasons, ‘Bodies’ which premiered in 2023 and ‘Invasion’ which aired on Apple TV+, among others.

Currently the upcoming feature film is only under development and is predicted to be filmed at Upstate New York.
Plot of ‘Dancing Tree’
The upcoming feature film will narrate the journey of Rozzy a mother and caretaker to her son Taylor. Having always been the primary caregiver to her adult son, Taylor, who is non-verbal & has a learning disability, Rozzy is well aware of how no expert will ever know better than her when it comes to her son’s well-being. But aging is not something that is within the control of humans and over the years, she leads a life of doubt and fear over her son’s future. Now, when her health takes a turn for the worse, she is not only confronted by a convoluted healthcare system, but her own growing incapacity. In this struggle she remains alone, yet undefeated and determined as she fights for both her son’s future and ultimately, her own.
‘Dancing Tree’ is predicted to announce a premiere date soon with the potential progress scheduled for the upcoming year.
