Expected plot of Intervention season twenty-five
The series Intervention focuses on one or two participants who struggle with substance abuse, addiction, or both. Eating disorders are also occasionally included. It is a documentary of their addiction, featuring graphic drug use and how it affected their life until a trained interventionist organized a surprise intervention event.
Interviews with family members and friends can be edited in and out. The addict is given an ultimatum during the intervention: either participate in a 90-day, fully covered treatment plan at a recovery facility or risk losing contact with, money from, or privileges from family and friends.
The interventionist typically advises that the entire family undergo counseling in order to help them move on in cases when those in the addict’s close circle have become codependent or have otherwise been traumatized by the addict’s behavior. There are options for medical detoxification when drug withdrawal poses a risk.
The storyline for the 25th season will likely get picked up from where the previous season left off – stay tuned!
