Penned by Dominic Treadwell-Collins and Karen Cogan and helmed by Kathy Burke, Holding is a crime drama television series adapted from Graham Norton’s debut novel of the exact name. The fourth episode series was launched on ITV on 14th March 2023 and on Ireland’s channel Virgin Media on 12th April 2022.
Holding depicts the tale of a cop living in the smallest village in Ireland that suffices his time with sustenance which is an unhealthy and impractical police job. However, for solely the second time in his life, the cop must return to work after an unknown hero’s body has been uncovered.
Is Holding Renewed For Season 2?
Unfortunately, there has been no announcement concerning a second season of Holding. The four-part series was launched on 14th March 2023 on ITV. Although it’s been more than a month since the series debuted, not a single word has been provided by the show makers. Moreover, the show was billed as a mini-series indicating there probably won’t be a season two of Holding. The series which is based on Norton’s novel was published in 2016 and has no sequel. So it’s most likely there won’t be another season of Holding.
Holding Season 2 Release Date
As mentioned earlier, the series is yet to be confirmed and till now, there is no concrete information about season 2 of Holding. We have ruled out the possibility that season 2 will not be renewed as the show is considered a limited series and was only meant for a one-time thing.
Nevertheless, on the off chance we get a new season, fans would get to see it sometime in 2024. But for now, let’s hope the series gets greenlit.
