‘From’ season 2 is officially happening and fans couldn’t be more delighted! Epix greenlit the series back in April 2022.
The science fiction/ horror tale is all set to continue but one thing we can’t wait to find out is whether The Matthews Family will be able to successfully escape.
“On behalf of the producers, writers, and our insanely talented cast and crew, we are thrilled and grateful to both EPIX and our audience for the opportunity to continue exploring the world of From,” stated executive producer Jeff Pinkner.
Conceived by John Griffin, the series untangles the enigma of a nightmarish town that is held captive to anyone who enters with no way of escape.
The official synopsis of Season 2 says, “hidden truths about the nature and terrifying origins of the town begin to emerge, even as life for its residents is plunged into chaos by the arrival of mysterious newcomers.” To know more about the forthcoming second season, stay with us till the end.
Release Date of ‘From’ Season 2: When is it?
Production commenced this Summer and is being done in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As for the official release date, it is not yet announced but the upcoming season is scheduled to return somewhere in early 2023 at the earliest.
“The first season of From mystified, enthralled and terrified fans and critics alike with its haunting world, vivid characters, and thrilling scares,” Michael Wright, the head of Epix declared in a statement. “We have been delighted by the social conversation generated by the From community and can’t wait to unravel more of this mysterious story with our passionate fans in Season 2.”

The official cast line is yet to be confirmed but it is highly expected for the main characters to return in the forthcoming season 2 which includes:

- Catalina Sandino Moreno in the role of Tabitha Matthews
- Eion Bailey will be seen as Jim Matthews
- David Alpay will act as Jade
- Shaun Majumder will portray the role of Father Khatri
- Ricky He will depict the character of Kenny Liu
- Hannah Cheramy in the character of Julie Matthews
- Chloe Van Landschoot will reprise her role as Kristi
- Corteon Moore will be seen as Ellis Stevens
- Simon Webster will be portraying his role as Ethan Matthews
- Elizabeth Saunders in the role of Donna
- Pegah Ghafoori will return as Fatima
- Elizabeth Moy will be playing Tian-Chen Liu
What Can Be The Plot For Season 2 of ‘From’?
As you know, the exact plot details are scant but most probably the story will continue from where the first season left off.
We expect that the upcoming 2nd season of ‘From’ will explore deeper into the concealed truths considering the essence and nightmarish lineages of the town. Life for its inhabitants in the town is sunk into disarray by the appearance of menacing new dwellers. So what awaits behind the truth remains unknown but we shall find out in the next season.
