Conceived by Justin Marks, Counterparts is an American sci-fi thriller TV series that stars J. K. Simmons, Olivia Williams, Harry Lloyd, Nazanin Boniadi, Sara Serraiocco, Ulrich Thomsen, Nicholas Pinnock, Betty Gabriel, and James Cromwell. The series made its ten-episode season debut on Starz cable network on December 10th, 2017.
Upon release, the series earned mainly favorable responses and was renewed for the second and final season which was released in December 2018.
Will There be a Season 3 of Counterpart?
Sadly, no. The series has officially come to an end. Season two of Counterpart was the last outing of the show. However, back in 2018 in a video interview with the series creator Justin Marks, he did mention about his intention and story ideas for a possible third season but that plan seemed to not have worked out. Hence, the series will not be getting a third season.
Counterpart Season 3 Release Date
As we have mentioned above, the series has wrapped. There are no further plans to continue the series. Hence, an air date for session three will not be announced. The first season of Counterpart arrived on the 10th of December 2017 and consisted of ten episodes. The second season was launched on the 9th of December 2018 and consisted of ten episodes. So, overall the series has a total of 20 episodes.
