Christina Ricci’s Future on Screen: 2024-2025 Projects

Through her role as Wednesday Addams in ‘The Addams Family’ and its sequel titled , ‘Addams Family Values’, Christina Ricci achieved international stardom. Now, almost 30 years later, she is an established actress and producer who continues to enthrall her audiences through her character portrayals. Some of the other roles that the popular actress is known for include Katrina Van Tassel in Tim Burton’s ‘Sleepy Hollow’ which premiered in 1999, Misty in ‘Yellowjackets’ which also starred Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis and Lauren Ambrose, Layla in ‘Buffalo 66’ which premiered in 1998, Lucy in ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’ which was directed by Terry Gilliam and more. She recently starred in Tim Burton’s television series ‘Wednesday’, marking her return to the fictional character universe except in a different role. In the new series, Christina Ricci played the role of Marilyn Thornhill, the primary antagonist. For both 2024 and 2025, there are a couple of anticipated and rumored releases which could potentially star Christina Ricci. 

‘Yellowjackets’ recently released its second season in March this year and is rumored to have been renewed for a third season. If the series does end up returning for another possible season, then Christina Ricci will most likely reprise her role as Misty alongside other members of the cast. ‘Guns Up’ is a comedy surrounding a duo which is both written and directed by Edward Drake. The project is also supposedly starring Kevin James and Luis Guzmán alongside Christina Ricci. ‘Unplugged’ is an animation project centered on a rockstar. ‘The Dresden Sun’ is a sci- fi action project with Mena Suvari and Linus Roache joining the cast. Christina Ricci might possibly return to reprise her role as Marilyn Thornhill in the upcoming ‘Wednesday’ season 2.
