This upcoming project will supposedly have Brad Mays as its director and writer. The film will focus on a group of people who live and undergo the troubles in their respective lives. Titled as, ‘The Prepared Mind’ this upcoming feature film is said to be a project under Boobat Productions. Some of the works of Boobat Productions include, ‘I Grew Up in Princeton’ a documentary and ‘Road Rage’ both of which was directed by Brad Mays among others. Brad Mays is an Award- winning director who is a part of Boobat Productions. For the upcoming feature film, Janel Bosies and Suzanne Gould will most likely join the crew as its producers. As of now, ‘The Prepared Mind’ is predicted to commence its filming by February 2024 with New Jersey serving as its primary location. Other supposed additions to the crew for the film include, Jim Gordon and Justin Weeks.
Plot of ‘The Prepared Mind’
Taking a hiatus from his position, Nathan Salt one of the protagonists of the upcoming feature film, takes on photography while he sorts things out. The audience is also introduced to Betty Fable, the owner of a local bookstore with whom, he has begun a new relationship. Nathan Salt is also attempting to embrace the concept of ignorance as a possible scientific tool which he believes will help him in problem solving. Meanwhile, Brian Loomis, a local boy is experiencing an existential crisis of his own. His family and teachers have begun to view him as one who is descending into the society of white supremacists, even starting to suspect he may be on
the path to a mass shooting. Brian’s guardian aunt, Nancy Collier who about to undergo an out-of-state cancer treatment is also show alongside Sandy Beechman, Brian’s mother. At the same time, a trio of while nationalists- Kong, Chief and Driver are determined to make a stand for “white power” like Burt Hayes, the wealthy and elusive man who is in support of the organization.
Jet is showcased as a classmate of Brian’s, who has taken a romantic interest in him while Clarke, her ex and a greasy meth-head revels in tormenting Jet’s current boyfriend. As Brian gradually descends into the ideology surrounding white supremacy and their obsession with firearms and fascist politics, Nathan tries an approach of asking the “right questions,” hoping to put an end to it. This new project will potentially touch upon a variety of themes all the while showcasing how different natured people co-exist in a singular space.
