Will there be a Season 2 of Becoming Elizabeth?
Although there is no official announcement regarding season 2, it’s most definitely that the series will be renewed by Starz for the next installment.
“We obviously hope the show does really well, and we would love to do more series. It’s always been our intention,” executive producer George Ormond confessed to HollywoodLife. Series creator Anya Reiss added that she would want “Alicia [von Rittberg] to be our Elizabeth for as long as possible.”

In a recent interview star Romola Garai was asked if the series will return with a second run. Garai said: “Yes. That’s the great thing about history, it just runs and runs. I would love to do more. Mary had a really interesting and un-dramatized reign where she tried to lead the country back to Catholicism and also fell in love with Philip II of Spain,” he added. “Her marriage was very sad, she tried to have a child and wasn’t able to. It’s a really powerful story that I hope we get to tell.”
