Universal has finally declared the unleash window of the much-anticipated threequel of the Trolls franchise which is scheduled to hit the big screens in 2023.
The first movie “Trolls” was released on November 4, 2016, which raked a little over $346 million at the box office worldwide against a budget of $125 million. The second movie titled “Trolls World Tour” was released on April 10, 2020, and collected around $100 million including digital sales.
Well now that Trolls 3 is arriving fans can’t help but get excited although there is only a little information about the forthcoming movie. However, we do know the new soundtrack will have you stand on your feet and dance to the music.

Trolls 3 Release Date: When is it?
Back in April 2020, actor/singer Justin Timberlake showed interest in returning in the future films of the Trolls universe during his Apple Music seizure, “I hope we make, like, seven Trolls movies, because it is the gift that keeps on giving”.
It was declared openly on November 22, 2021, that a third untitled Trolls film would be launched exclusively in theaters on November 17, 2023
The cast of trolls 3
Not much is known when it comes to the upcoming Trolls 3 movie but it is expected that the two main characters namely Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake reprise their roles as Poppy and Branch respectively.
The other cast members are yet to be confirmed. In 2020, Poppy and her pals made a comeback with Poppy as Queen of the Pop Trolls. The second movie “Trolls World Tour” included a star-studded cast– Rachel Bloom in the character of Queen Barb of Hard Rock, Kelly Clarkson as the mayor of the Country Trolls, Sam Rockwell as Hickory the Yodel Troll, Anthony Ramos as King Trollex of the techno trolls, Jamie Dornan as Chaz aka Smooth Jazz Troll, and Mary J. Blige in the role of Queen of the Funk Trolls.
Needless to say, we hope to see the old characters return in the upcoming Trolls movie. It’s also likely that a whole new batch of characters will be introduced to the viewers in Trolls 3.
Trolls 3: Plot
Plot details are strictly kept under wraps so far. The previous two movies released under Universal were a huge success and this time too wouldn’t be any different. It’s safe to assume that Trolls 3 will for sure be a fun adventure, packed with new tracks and whole new friends.
It’s not confirmed yet but director Walt Dohrn who helmed the first two Trolls films of the franchise will likely be onboard to helm the forthcoming third instalment.
