The Cook of Castamar is a Spanish series and is a period drama that is set in the eighteenth century. The series revolves around the romance story between an agoraphobic chef and a widowed man of noble birth. This show is produced by Buendía Estudios and is directed by Iñaki Peñafiel along with Noberto Lopez Amado. It first premiered on Atresplayer Premium on February 21, 2021, to May 9, 2021, and has a total of 12 episodes with just one season so far. The series soon began airing on Netflix in July 2021. The Cook of Castamar Season 2: Release Date— When is it arriving?
The showrunners have not yet announced about the renewal of the second season of The Cook of Castamar. The first season was released several months ago and till now, we haven’t got any update about a possible new season. Although the show is available on Netflix, the renewal decision solely lies on Atresplayer Premium as it’s the original streaming network for the series The Cook Castamar.
So it’s not up to Netflix whether the series will have another season. Filming for the first season was completed in 2020 and it aired in February 2021. Should a third instalment get renewed by the end of the year, it will arrive in late 2022 or early 2023.
The Cook of Castamar Season 2: The cast
The Upcoming season will bring back the cast members as we saw in the first season of The Cook of Castamar although the producers have not revealed anything about the official cast lineup as the third season’s renewal status is still pending.
Even though it’s not been confirmed, we expect to see some of the major roles return for the upcoming season and reprises their roles including the likes of Michelle Jenner (as Clara Belmonte), María Hervás (as Amelia Castro), Roberto Enríquez (as Diego de Castamar), Hugo Silva (as Enrique de Arcona), and Fiorella Faltoyano (as Doña Mercedes).
Additionally, Jean Cruz (as Gabriel de Castamar) may likely appear in the third season of The Cook Of Castamar. However, it is yet to be confirmed by the showmakers.
The Cook of Castamar Seaeon 2: Plot— What’s the story about?
The plotline of The Cook of Castsmer is set in the 18th century and follows a romantic relationship between a cook who has agoraphobia and a widowed man of noble status. The attraction between them happens after the painful misfortunes of their lives. Clara Belmonte, the cook looks after the pitches as she feels more comfortable being in the kitchen as she has agoraphobia. She then began working in the kitchen and accepted a job in the Duke of Castamar’s kitchen.
However, both of them try to recover from their hardships whenever they are alone. The story is yet to progress and the showmakers have not disclosed or dropped hints on what to expect from the upcoming season so it’s difficult to make a prediction. Hopefully, the third season of The Cook of Castamar gets renewed soon.
