The Bridgerton fame, Phoebe Dynevor is going to be a part of Sky’s upcoming flicker, The Colour Room. To the audience’s surprise, Phoebe’s first look is already out. If you have missed it out, here it is. Dynevor is passing a smoggy lane with a lost appearance on her face. Her curly and messy hair locks depict a different story. However, the colorful scarf around her neck adds an optimistic element to her otherwise puzzled look.

Though a release date has not been confirmed yet, there is still hope that Colour Room is likely to hit the theatres and Sky Cinema later in 2021. Production has begun in the preceding month and the flicker will be filmed in Stoke-on-Trent and Birmingham. Claire Peate, the writer, is looking forward to bringing the idea out of her mind to the audience. On the other hand, Dynevor is also thrilled to be associated with The Color Room.
The Colour Room: Cast
Phoebe Dynevor will appear as the lead cast, Clarice Cliff in the movie. Mattew Goode will play the role of Coller Shorter, the factory owner. He was last seen in The Imitation Game and Downton Abbey. Other supporting actors include David Morrissey, Darci Shaw, Kerry Fox, and Luke Norris, to name a few. Kerry Fox will play the role of Ann, the widowed mother of Cliff while Darci Shaw will be seen as Dot, Clarice’s younger sibling.

Actress Phoebe Dynevor shared her excitement about joining the cast. She said, “I am so excited to be joining the cast of The Colour Room, especially in the role of one of the nations most celebrated artists, Clarice Cliff.”
She resumed, “It’s truly such an honour to take on such a remarkable character. The script is a beautifully written contemporary take on the 20th century, and I feel proud to be working with such a strong female team, both in front and behind the camera. I look forward to telling Clarice’s story and of course working with Matthew too.”
The Color Room: Plot
The official synopsis of The Color Room reads: “Clarice Cliff is a vivacious young factory worker in the industrial British midlands of the 1920s. Her creativity and ambition drives her to move factory to factory, despite the financial impact on the household she shares with her widowed mother Ann and youngest sister Dot. Bursting at the seams with ideas for colours and shapes, Clarice takes more and more dangerous risks – but she manages to stay one step ahead of the workhouse and impress the eccentric factory owner Colley Shorter on the way with her talent and innovation.
Apprenticed to renowned art designer Fred Ridgeway, and with support from Colley and other women in the factory, Clarice fights her way through to design the unprecedented Art Deco ‘Bizarre’ range. And, in the middle of the Great Depression, she ensured the factory’s survival and her future as one of the greatest Art Deco designers and a household name.”
The Color Room revolves around a true story of an adroit ceramic artist, Clarice Cliff. According to the official synopsis, the movie is set in the 1920’s industrial midlands, Phoebe is seen in the role of a dedicated and creative ceramic artist, switching to new workplaces frequently. Due to her job instability, Clarice is burdened with financial constraints. The young artist’s head is constantly bubbling with unique and innovative ideas, which leads to drawing the eyes of her bosses towards her. Colley Shorter, the owner of the factory, grows fond of Clarice’s work and passion. Later, she is bestowed with an opportunity to work under the famous art designer, Fred Ridgeway. And from there, begins a new journey of her ambitions and aspirations. It’s the same Clarice Cliff who became the world-famous Art Deco designer by introducing Art Deco ‘Bizarre’. Even the Great Depression could not prevent her from attaining the unstoppable. Rather she creates a future as the legendary Art Deco designer and saves her factory from huge losses during uncertain times.
