Will the Crunchyroll anime series The Ancient Magus’ Bride get renewed for a third season?
The Ancient Magus’ Bride caused quite a stir in the anime community when it debuted in 2017. Many fans were sufficiently captivated by the series’ stunning visuals and intriguing, if not slightly weird, love storyline to at least give it a shot.
For those who managed to watch it, they were in for a treat, as it turned out to be one of the more distinctive fantasy anime releases in recent memory. But given the popularity, will the makers renew the series for season 3?
Here’s everything you need to know about the potential third season of the show The Ancient Magus’ Bride, including its release date, cast, plot, and other updates!
The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 3 Release Date
It is not yet known if The Ancient Magus’ Bride will return for a third season. That’s not to suggest a third season of the show won’t be announced; it’s just difficult to predict when and if that will happen right now.
When it comes to anime, there’s no certain time or date for the announcement of a new season. It could occur weeks, months, or even years after the conclusion of the previous season, or it could occur after the current season’s finale.
Hopefully, fans won’t have to wait long to find out the fate of the third season, given the popularity of the first two. Though there was a nearly five-year gap between seasons one and two, it is possible that season three production will take an equivalent amount of time.
An anime’s standing is frequently determined by the manga’s current state and the degree to which the series has caught up to the original work. Although the anime hasn’t quite kept up with the manga, The Ancient Magus’ Bride is getting there.
In any case, fans of The Ancient Magus’ Bride can probably anticipate a new season at some point in the future, considering the show’s history. But you never know when it might happen; we’ll update this space in case of any developments—stay tuned!
The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 3 Cast: Who will return?

The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season Three Plot Speculation
In the previous seasons we saw Chise Hatori’s mother committed suicide due to mental illness, and her father abandoned her, therefore she did not have a joyful upbringing.
She eventually made the decision to sell herself at auction in the hopes that someone would take her in after being handed around by relatives who were no longer friendly to her.
She is abruptly transported to another realm by a wizard by the name of Elias Ainsworth, who then announces that she will be his apprentice. The show and Star Wars Mandalorian share a lot of parallels.
It is established in the narrative that Chise is a Sleigh Beggy, a mage who draws in a variety of magical animals. Following multiple meetings, Elias develops feelings for her.
To counterbalance the dragon curse, Cartaphilus kidnaps Chise in order to break his curse, which causes her to absorb his curse of immortality. Elias vows to stay by her side forever.
Although it seems like the plot is coming to a close, the College Arc from the manga will be covered in the upcoming season. Chise is going to be a student at a mystical school, and we might witness her ascent through the ranks of the academy.
And there might be romance, what with her dragon and curses of immortality. Because the series hasn’t been renewed for season 3, we don’t have an official storyline at the moment. We will update this space in case of any updates—stay tuned!
