We were overjoyed upon learning the news of what many thought the superhero Disney flick Sky High will be getting its very own series but sadly, it turns out this Sky High is an upcoming Spanish crime drama series. At first many were confused but now it’s official that though they have the same title, this series is not the superhero 2005 Disney movie and it’s not coming back.
The upcoming Netflix’s Sky High: The Series is a highly tense, crime thriller series about a band of robbers in Madrid. Unlike Disney’s Sky High, they do not possess any superpowers nor do they have the ability to fly but the upcoming new Sky High series already sounds quite promising based on the short summary of the series.
The series is directed by Daniel Calparsoro and screenplay Jorge Guerricaechevarria. It stars Asia Ortega, Luis Tosar, Álvaro Rico, Patricia Vico, Carmen Sánchez, Alana La Hija del Jeque, Fernando Cayo, and Richard Holmes.

Will There be a Season 2 of Sky High?
Because the first season is yet to be released, it is not known whether the series will have a second season or not. But there’s a high possibility of Sky High getting at least two or more seasons.

The first season of Sky High: The Series is scheduled to be released on March 17, 2023. Assuming that the first season of Sky High gets a good rating followed by an early renewal, we can expect the second season to be out sometime in 2024. However, it all depends on Netflix whether to bring back the series for more.

Sky High Season 2 Plot
Since season one of Sky High is yet to be released, nothing is known about the plot for season 2. Nevertheless, Netflix has provided the official synopsis for the first season. The synopsis reads:
“A phone call in the middle of the night will change Sole’s destiny: Ángel, her husband and leader of a gang of gangsters has died; turned overnight into a young widow with a son to take care of and many troubled businesses to run, Sole is not willing to return to the tutelage of her father Rogelio, one of the biggest dealers of stolen objects in Madrid. Determined to make a living for herself, Sole will find new allies along the way who will help her to unravel the mystery of the deaths that have marked her destiny, while she makes contact with the gang of thieves and manages to win their trust so that she can once again carry out robberies as ambitious as those of the old days. But neither the police nor the different mafias she’ll have to compete with will be willing to make her way to heaven easy.”
