New York, April 14, 2025 – Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs appeared in a Manhattan federal court on Monday, where he pleaded not guilty to additional charges outlined in a superseding indictment filed by the Southern District of New York (SDNY). The latest legal development adds to the mounting allegations against the 55-year-old rapper, who has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since his arrest on September 16, 2024.

The updated indictment expands on earlier accusations of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution, which Combs has consistently denied. According to court documents, the new charges allege that Combs coerced employees into working grueling hours under threats of violence, including acts such as arson and kidnapping to maintain control. One disturbing claim describes Combs allegedly dangling an individual over a balcony to assert his dominance. The indictment also accuses him of forcing at least one employee into sexual acts, broadening the scope of the case with two additional victims and an extended timeline of alleged misconduct.
Combs’ legal team has fiercely rejected the accusations, with his attorney stating that their client remains confident in the judicial process and is eager to clear his name. Federal prosecutors, however, have lined up as many as 20 witnesses, including three primary alleged victims, who they claim are prepared to testify about Combs’ behavior, though many reportedly fear retaliation.
The rapper’s trial is set to begin on May 5, with the prosecution estimating a three-week presentation of their case. Combs, a prominent figure in hip-hop known for his work with artists like The Notorious B.I.G. and Mary J. Blige, continues to maintain his innocence as the high-profile case unfolds, drawing widespread attention to the serious allegations against him.
