All about Poldark
Poldark is an adaptation of Winston Graham’s eponymous novels. Set in 1781-1801, the series follows the story of Captain Ross Vennor Poldaark, who returns home following the American War of Independence, only to discover that things have greatly transformed. The period drama series portrays romance, family, and the ugly side of the war that took place in the 18th century. So far, the show has premiered five seasons between 2015-2019. Since its final episode of the fifth chapter came out, fans are awaiting its return for a sixth installment. Sadly, there is no concrete information from the show’s creators about season 6. Back in 2019, the series’ executive producer, Karen Thrasell said that Season 5 marks the end of Poldark Saga. Yet BBC, the service platform that broadcasted the show has not officially canceled Poldark. So, is Poldark Season 6 still a possibility or not? Well, read on to know more:
Poldark Season 6: Release Date
There is no word about the premiere date of the series. In such a scenario, it is not easy to tell when chapter six in the Poldark chronicle is due to air. But if the BBC has a change of plans, we could expect the sixth season sometime soon. Hoping that that happens and we see more of our favorite characters but at the same time we doubt that another season will ever happen because BBC made it clear that the fifth season was final season of the show which came to an end on August 26, 2019.
Poldark season 6 canceled! “I think it’s a good time to end it,” actor Turner said.
Poldark season 6 has been canceled, and it seems like a renewal isn’t in the books. The fifth and final season of Poldark was the last, and the actors and crew went on. In 2019, Aidan Turner, who plays Ross Poldark, confirmed no more seasons are planned. He also liked how the show concluded. “I think it’s a good time to end it,” Turner added. “We’ve run well and told a good story.”
Actress Eleonore Tomlinson, who played Demelza Poldark, also liked the ending. “I think it’s a perfect show ending,” Tomlinson added. “The ending is satisfying for the characters and hopeful for the future.” Although fans are disappointed that Poldark will not return, the show remains a fan-favorite. Its gorgeous cinematography, excellent characters, and captivating plot have earned the program many honors.
Poldark Season 6: Plot
Poldark’s previous installment was wholesome in itself and was considered as one of the best seasons so far. Season 5 explored new dimensions and drifted a bit from the book adaptation. Till now, Graham has released 12 volumes of the book and all parts have not been covered in the last season. So, if we talk about the content material for its next chapter, it is ample to take the story further.
But we cannot get a new season until the creators have intentions of making one. Thus, it remains a mystery for fans worldwide whether the series would return for another season or not.
Poldark Season 6: Cast

Poldark Season 6 will not happen!
Sadly, a sixth season of Poldark will not happen as the series ended with its fifth season. The BBC did not provide any official explanation why the popular series won’t be back, but some of the actors have spoken on the completion.
Star Aiden Turner revealed that the series was meant for only five seasons and not beyond that. Before season 5 was even released, Aiden explained to the BBC: “When we started Poldark we aimed to complete the majority of the books that we could, which would likely take us up to series five.
“So during filming for this series, there was a sense of completion and relief that we made it this far, that the show has been successful and that people enjoy watching it.
“Hitting that mark and returning for the fifth series was always the goal and we are proud to have achieved that.”
So there you go, Poldark will not be back for another season.
