A supposed sequel to ‘Skyline’ is reportedly under production and is titled as ‘Skyline: Warpath’. Monocular Films and M45 Productions are collaborating for this upcoming project with Liam O’Donnell as the director of the feature film. Monocular Films is a known production company who are popular for their works, ‘Skylines’ which was the third film in the ‘Skyline’ film series directed by Liam O’Donnell, ‘Portals’ which premiered in 2019 and was directed by Eduardo Sanchez, Timo Tjahjanto and Liam O’Donnell, ‘Go to Sleep: A Lao Ghost Story’ a short film which was written and directed by Phet Mahathongdy, and more. M45 Productions is an emerging production company who were a part of the development of Liam O’Donnell’s ‘Skyline’ film series. Also, Palisades Park Pictures will be joining the companies in the development of ‘Skyline: Warpath’. Liam O’Donnell, and Phet Mahathongdy are the founders of Monocular Films.
Matthew Chausse, John Radelacs, Tamara Birkemoe and Mark Damon will be heading the production crew for the upcoming feature film. Our sources suggest that Iko Uwais and Scott Adkins will be joining the cast for ‘Skyline: Warpath’. Iko Uwais is a known actor whose works include, ‘The Raid’ film series which Gareth Evans directed, ‘Expendables 4’ starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and more, ‘Headshot’ which premiered in 2016 and ‘Triple Threat’ which was directed by Jesse. V. Johnson, among others. Scott Adkins is another known actor/ producer who gained immense popularity through his portrayal of Yuri Boyka in the ‘Undisputed’ film series. His other works include, ‘Ip Man 4’ which premiered in 2019 and ‘Hard Target 2’ which was directed by Roel Reiné.
Plot for ‘Skyline: Warpath’
War Path commences by showcasing the night of the initial alien invasion seen in the first film. The film will then follow Sua, a character from ‘Beyond Skyline’ in his journey of self actualization from a criminal nobody to a fully formed leader. Now, with the Resistance movement facing its dawn around Mark and Rose Corley, Sua clashes with her uncle, the power hungry Eric Corley in their different opinions. Setting off on his own, Sua finds himself in a small town of survivors and outcasts under the threat of When Harvester aliens. Soon, Sua discovers the Radial Gauntlet, a mysterious alien artifact that has been buried on earth for a long time. However, both the vicious Harvester and a rival human gang are after the Radial artifact, and before it is too late, Sua must transport it across a harsh jungle terrain to reach the Resistance.
