Talking about shonen storylines and missing out on the Haikyuu anime series is simply impossible. After the premiere of its chapter four in December 2020, fans are awaiting its next sequel. Unfortunately, no official announcement about the same has come to our notice. But that does not mean it is not happening. After airing the last episode of the fourth installment, Haikyuu!! tweet hinted at the arrival of another season. In the past, the anime creators expressed heartfelt gratitude towards their cast and crew members for putting in the effort and time in producing a successful show. Further, it said, “Looking forward to the continuation.’” However, it might take some time to make it official.
Haikyuu revolves around the story of a middle schooler, Shoyo Hinata who grews fondness for volleyball following a Karasuno High Play. The twist comes when none of his peers or schoolmates are disinclined towards the sports. However, at the year-end, he can pursue his pals to partake in a volleyball tournament. But the team loses des[ite their efforts and practice sessions to the “King of the Court”, Tabio Kageyama.

When will Haikyuu Season 5 premiere?
Haikyuu released its first three parts from 2014 to 2016. Yet we heard nothing about the fourth installment until late 2020. But the wait lasted longer than that. It made it to the audience in two split cons- January to April and October to December 2020. Without any concrete information about its forthcoming season, it is not easy to reveal the release date. However, we assume that the production might take 12 months from its announcement. So, be ready for the expected delay.
So if we have to predict an air date, it would be probably in mid-2023.

Haruichi Furudate’s manga series is narrated through Haikyuu anime TV series to the fans world over. The preceding season witnessed the hurdles of Karasuno High Play to get into the champions. As of May 2022, it looks Haikyuu is still in development. However, it’s unclear as the makers are keeping quiet about it. Fans are now anxious and have been demanding for a fifth season as soon as possible but they might have to wait for a while since the expected release date would fall somewhere in 2023 given that there has been no word from the makers or the studio. Haikyuu is Back in June 2020, Japanese music producer Yoshiki Kobayashi revealed that the recording for the fifth season of Haikyuu had begun. Although, it’s been over a year since that piece of information was reported. We still haven’t heard any news on the renewal of Haikyuu season 5 either.

Rumours and Speculations
*Spoiler Alert for non-manga readers. This might contain spoilers proceed at your own risk!*
There are also various rumours and speculations that Haikyuu season 5 might have a fresh plot; probably the storyline will follow the timeskip as in the manga. After the time skip, Hinata Shoyo the main protagonist will be 21 years old. The rest of the team members have all graduated from high school and each of them have their own jobs. Except for Hinata and Kageyama who are members of a pro team but both of them are in different teams. As for the highly anticipated match between Nekoma Vs. karasuno, we might get a movie on that or we’re not entirely sure though. Further announcement awaits!
How long do we have to wait for Season 5 of Haikyuu?
The specific release date is not known but it’s likely that it’ll arrive sometime in 2023 and hopefully, we get an announcement soon about the fifth season.
Nevertheless, if you’re that impatient you can go ahead and read the manga. The final volume of the manga series is out. In August, 2021, the Twitter account for Haikyu English readers shared a tweet that reads: “”This is the final volume. Thank you so much for everything!”
