Following its debut in September 2016, StartUp was renewed for two more seasons which premiered in 2018. The American drama series follows the story of Ronald Dacey, Izzy Morales, and Nick Talman with a tech company, Araknet which trades in a new form of digital currency, GenCoin. This concept is innovative and equally a matter of controversy. Since its last episode aired in 2019, fans await the news of its fourth installment. However, unfortunately, there is no word about it yet. Now fans have hopes on Netflix, the streaming platform which premiered all its three seasons recently. But has the streaming giant planned the renewal of chapter four or it has other plans? Here’s everything to know about Startup Season 4:
When will StartUp Season 4 be out?
Without any official confirmation, it is not easy to say about the release date of chapter 4 start up. But considering the popularity of the show, it is a safe bet to assume that good news is around the corner. There is a fair chance that the filming will start in the later part of 2021 after Netflix gives the green signal. Having said that, we are hoping for a mid-2022 release of the show.
Start Up Season 4: Plot twists
The third installment ended with an unexpected series of events. While Ronald Dacey and Mara Chandler succeeded in raising funds of 100 million from Saginaw, a mysterious virus made them lose 60 million users. This led to a scuffle between the investors and the company. In the last episode, Nick Talman murdered Rebecca Stroud, the which further escalated the tension between the three partners. Surprisingly, the victim revealed that she is not part of the NSA before she meets death. Season 4 will come up with new twists and turns, with Izzy, Ronald, and Nick coming together as a team to think of ways to build Aratech again. This time, several external threats are coming their way including government interference and underworld danger. The founders of the company need to safeguard their interests simultaneously, which might result in an internal conflict.
In addition, Mara, the daughter of Ron, has some unidentified intentions which will be revealed in the fourth installment.
Start Up Season 4: Cast Details
Season 4 will see the return of the story’s core characters- Nick, Izzy, and Ronald. Adam Brody will make an appearance as Nick Talman in the next season. Otmara Marrero will reprise her role as Izzy Morales and Edi Gathegi will play the role of Ronald Dacey who made a bold move against his peers/ professionals mates in the last episodes.
Mira Sorvino’s journey with Start Up ends with her demise in the series’ part three. So, the NSA agent Rebecca will not make a comeback for the fourth chapter.
Wes Chandler and Mara Chandler, the father-daughter duo are likely to be part of the cast as well. So, it will be starring Ron Perlman as Wes and Addison Timlin as Mara. Don’t be surprised to see new faces and characters in the series.

Updated on September 20, 2021— Fans of the show were curious to know if Startup season 4 is ever happening. It’s been over two years since the last episode aired and till now the show has neither been renewed or cancelled.
As of now, the future seems uncertain and fans have been earnestly demanding another season on various social media platforms. Could it be that the show is over for good?
In May 2021, Edi Gathegi who plays as Ronald Dacey shared a post that captioned “Fans of StartUp time to introduce more fans to the show. Seasons 1-3 are now streaming on Netflix. If it blows up, who knows, more seasons?Internet does your thing.” You can check the tweet below:
Also, considering the fact the show is neither renewed nor cancelled which might somehow indicate that maybe there is a room for a possible new season? If enthusiastic fans keep on pleading to the showrunner, who knows things might just take a new turn.
In June 2021, Gathegi posted on Instagram to which he was requesting fans to spread the word and that anything is possible. Just like the fans, he too doesn’t want the show to end with just season 3. Here’s the post:

At the moment, the only thing that we can do is wait for more updates since the showrunners are completely quiet on this and we hope that Netflix comes up with an official announcement regarding the status of the show soon enough.
That’s it for now folks. We’ll update you more once we get new information. Till then sit back and relax.
