Netflix has officially greenlit the fifth instalment of Elite. The renewal news came very fast as season 4 has not even been released yet. To top it off with even greater news, Elite season 5 filming has commenced.
Elite is a teen drama Netflix original series in the Spanish language created by Carlos Montero and Dario Madrona. The show centres on the typical problems that every teenager encounters when one body experiences change as it grows. The show also portrays the many ongoing issues faced by a teenager which also includes various sexual topics. Release Date for Elite Season 5: When is it?
Elite Season 5 is set to release on the 5th of June 2022.
Netflix tweeted: “Elite fans get ready for more because the show has been renewed for a fifth season! (and before you ask… no, Season 4 has not premiered yet).”
Netflix tweeted another one that read: “Elite admirers get set for a lot due to the drama being revived for a season 5!”
Elite season 4 was released on June 18, 2021, with a total of 8 episodes.
Elite Season 5 Cast: Who’s in it?
The cast original lineup for season 5 has not been announced yet but we could expect to see the major characters return in the fifth season including Itzan Escamilla (as Samu), Omar Ayuso (Omar), Claudia Salas (Rebe), Georgina Amorós (Cayetan), Carla Díaz (Ari), Manu Rios (Patrick), Martina Cariddi (Mencía), and Diego Martín (Benjamín).
In season 5, there is a high possibility that new faces will be introduced and to clear our doubts, Netflix tweeted, “Elite has been renewed for a fifth season and two new actors have joined the cast: Argentinian actress Valentina Zenere and Brazilian actor André Lamoglia.”
Though Argentinian actress Valentina Zenere, and Brazilian actor André Lamogila are confirmed to be the new cast additions what role they’ll be playing has not been confirmed yet but we do know that they’ll be playing a very important role in the upcoming season.
Elite Season 5 Plot: What do you think is going to happen?
Showmakers have not dropped any details regarding the plot of season 5 so we can only make guesses on what will happen. We also think that the storyline for season 5 will pick up where season 4 left off.
In the previous season, the death of Armando came as a surprise to many viewers while Menica had a narrow escape. In the season finale, we witnessed that Guzman, Rebe, and Samuel tossed Armando’s dead body into the lake and with the fifth instalment already in the making, we can only hope that the upcoming season will unfold many new mysteries, chaos awaits and the thrill that we’ve all been waiting for.
