Created by Daria Polatin, “Devil in Ohio” is an American suspense thriller limited series adapted from Polatin’s novel of the exact title for Netflix. The eight-episode series was launched on September 2, 2022. It stars Emily Deschanel, Sam Jaeger, Gerardo Celasco, Madeleine Arthur, Xaria Dotson, Alisha Newton, and Naomi Tan.
The series revolves around a hospital psychiatrist Dr. Suzanne Mathis (Emily Deschanel) – who shelters a young lady who’s fled from some type of demonic cult after she lands at the hospital with a beet unusual injury on her back.
When the first season was released, it became massively popular that the audiences were already demanding another season of the series, especially because the finale episode of the first run ended on a major cliffhanger making the fans restless and confused.

Devil in Ohio Season 2 Renewal Status
As of October 2022, there’s been no official update or word concerning a second season of the series. So at this point, we’re unsure whether Netflix will renew the series for a second run.
The program is being deemed by the streaming giant as a special edition, which would usually imply that it has been intended only for a single-season run.
Nonetheless, this has not always been the issue in the past and if “Devil in Ohio” does extremely well for the streaming service, they would want to reconsider the likelihood of a second installment.
The first season ended on a major cliffhanger, which is also another good reason for Netflix to renew the series but the question is, will the streamer bring back the series for another run and solve the mysteries? Or will the audience never get to see another season of the series? Currently, we, sadly, don’t have the answer, but we’ll make sure to update this post as soon as we have any more transparency on the topic.
Daria Polatin, who composed the novel upon which the show is inspired, and who is also the showrunner previously dealt with the inquiry of a second season.
Talking to TV Insider, she stated: “It’s interesting to think where it might go but, for now, it is just an all-in limited [series].”

Because “Devil in Ohio” has not yet been officially greenlit for season two it’s difficult to tell when the next season could arrive on Netflix.
We’d guess the earliest it could land on the screens would be around summer or autumn 2023.
