Deadly Class sequel
Deadly Class is an American action drama television series based on the Rick Remender and Wesley Craig comic book series having the exact title. The series was developed by Rick Remender and Miles Orion Feldsott. The show which has only one season so far first premiered on December 20, 2018, with a total of ten episodes. The final episode was aired on March 20, 2019.
The show was set in a dark retro-style concept of the ’80s. The story revolves around a teenage boy named Marcus Lopez Arguello who lives on the streets and unexpectedly he got admitted into a school of assassins by none other than Master Lin. When season 1 was still airing, It earned more than a million viewers but also received mixed reviews from critics. Season 1 finished off on a major cliffhanger. Fans are famished for a new season to continue the story where season 1 finished. But fans were disheartened by the news after Syfy came up with a decision to cancel the show’s season 2 due to its low ratings.
Will Deadly Class Season 2 Return?
Rick Remender has already confirmed back in June 2019 that SYFY’s decision to cancel the show has not been revoked but the decision still stands firm and unfazed. So, it’s unlikely that season 2 will return until any streaming platform like Netflix revives the series. That’s our only last hope. Regardless, it’s difficult to pick up a show that has low ratings. So, it’ll probably take some time or the revival may never happen.
It’s been almost two years since SYFY cancelled Deadly Class, and fans and producer Sony Pictures Television have been earnestly campaigning to find a new streaming network for the series, taking to social media platforms to express their aid for the show.
Remender also expressed that he couldn’t find any other streaming platform that wants to revive the series. But Starzplay was granted the UK rights to stream season 1 of the series. However, that is not the case for season 2.
Thousands of devoted fans signed a petition and pleaded with the streaming giant, Netflix, to revive the show.
Hopefully, may any streaming platform hear the aching woes of the fans and revive the show.
