Cheer, Netflix’s original sports docuseries has garnered the attention of viewers the world over. In January 2022, the series has successfully finished its first two installments, which portray the challenges and wins of the Navarro College Cheer Team as they suit up for the National Cheerleading Championship in Daytona. Considering the IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes ratings of the show, it is very much likely that Cheer will return for a third part. However, there is no official word regarding Cheer Season 3 at this junction, but we are too excited to not see it coming. So, here is what we know so far about season three of this top-rated Netflix series:
Cheer Season 3 Release date: When will it launch?
It is speculated that season three of Cheer is already in the works since the show creator, Greg Whitely has been filming at Navarro College for a couple of years. If that is true, the third part will follow the timeframe of its predecessors and be out by January 2023, or perhaps fans might expect an early release.
This is just a hypothesis as the series is not yet confirmed for another season at this point. But we are hopeful that there is more in store for the fans.
All previous parts of Cheer are available for streaming on the giant streamer, Netflix. Currently, there are 15 episodes from the last two seasons, and it is not yet clear whether season three will follow the 6 or 8, episode count. Check this space for more details on Cheer Season 3 soon. Stay tuned.
Cheer Season 3 Plot: What will it be about?
Season three will pick up after the aftermath of the Cheer season two. Thus, be ready to welcome a slate of new cast and new competitions. The previous seasons centered around the hurdles of Navarro College as well their rivals, Trinity Valley Community College as they made their way to NCC. It is not surprising that season two was a smash hit among the audiences, and we expect that the potential part three is as amusing as its previous installments.
Cheer Season 3 Cast: Who will be in it?
If the sports television series sees the light of day, it will be delightful to witness many of our favorites returning. Gabi Butter says that she has one more year of junior school, so she is probably coming back. Unfortunately, Morgan Simianer’s journey ends with the last season as she is reluctant to go back to Navarro. But Simianer said that she had a great time at the show. Maddy Brum, Monica Aldama, Shannon Woosley will continue to be part of the docuseries, while Cassadee Dunlap is least enthusiastic about the potential season three as she has other plans. With that, Dunlap is the only one to leave, Jada Wooden of the rival team is also not ready to sign on the dotted line.
The idea for creating Cheer struck Whitely while he was working on a football series, Last Chance U. Whiteley has gained a recognition among viewers for his brilliant works. And we expect to see more of his works in the future.
