Bully 2 is supposedly a sequel to the original game Bully. Rumours soon began swirling around after Bully scorer Shawn Lee alleged that he would be working on a musical theme to a Bully 2 in the “not so distant future.” Rockstar never formally addressed the sequel’s existence. However, back in 2019, it was disclosed by YouTuber SWEGTA and then eventually confirmed by the website Videogames Chronicle that Bully 2 was in development at one point in time but the sequel was later cancelled. It’s unknown why the sequel was cancelled and Rockstar has so far not commented regarding this issue either.
The original Bully was first launched back in 2006, and a remastered edition titled “Scholarship Edition” was released a year later. Ever since then, we haven’t heard a single word from the game developers about a possible sequel.
Although a sequel to Bully 2 wasn’t formally announced or confirmed by Rockstar, Bully 2 became a hot topic and was trending on Twitter and many fans were overjoyed and thought that their wish finally came true but only to be dismayed later after leaks were indicating that Rockstar had cast off work on Bully 2 to concentrate more on GTA 6. As of now, there’s no news about a sequel
Will Bully 2 come?
As per reports, indeed in 2019, development on the sequel to the original game was scrapped which was confirmed to be true. It was also revealed that the game developers had already finished the script for the sequel back in 2008 but the project never really progressed causing the production to back out. However, in 2020 it was reported that development on Bully 2 was discontinued as Rockstar Games wanted to focus on working on GTA 6. But later there was some news regarding GTA 6 that the game release was pushed back and might not arrive until four years from now and with that news, fans remained hopeful that Rockstar Games would soon announce a sequel to the original game Bully.
It’s been sixteen years since Bully was released and there have been rumours and speculations surrounding a possible sequel on the horizon but none of it was ever confirmed. Just several ago, shared-eyed fans claimed that Rockstar Games updated its popular Bully trademark three times during April 2021. Sadly, these rumours are just rumours and Rockstar Games have so far have not published any official statements.
For the past years, rumours and fans speculations about Bully 2 only seemed to have increased more. It’s guaranteed that Rockstar Games is well aware of the situation and what the fans have been speculating and their demand for a sequel, nevertheless, there is still a high chance that Bully 2 will be on board for renewal but everything takes time and likewise the game developers need their sweet time before they publicly announce it.
