AGBO Films is reportedly working on a new project, a feature film titled as ‘The Whisper Man’. AGBO Films is an established production company who are popular for their works, ‘Extraction’ film series starring Chris Hemsworth and more, ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ which premiered in 2022, ‘The Gray Man’ which was directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, ‘Cherry’ which premiered in 2021 and ’21 Bridges’ a crime film starring Chadwick Boseman, to name a few. ‘The Whisper Man’ is currently under active development and will most likely premiere on Netflix.
Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Malcolm Gray, Mike Larocca and Michael Disco will be joining the crew as the producers of the upcoming feature film. Anthony Russo and Joe Russo are popular filmmakers who co- founded AGBO Films. Their works include, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and its sequels from the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and ‘You, Me and Dupree’ which featured Owen Wilson, Matt Dillon, Kate Hudson and more in the cast. Malcolm Gray is a known producer. Mike Larocca is the President and Vice Chairman of the Russo Brothers’ AGBO Productions and is another known producer. Michael Disco is popular for his works, ‘Superintelligence’ which premiered in 2020, ‘A Very Harold Kumar 3D Christmas’ which was directed by Todd Strauss- Schulson, ‘Life of the Party’ starring Melissa McCarthy and ‘Central Intelligence’ which premiered in 2016, to name a few.
James Ashcroft to direct ‘The Whisper Man’
James Ashcroft is an emerging artist whose works include, ‘Coming Home in the Dark’ a horror film which premiered in 2021 and more. For, ‘The Whisper Man’, James Ashcroft will be assuming the role of the director. Chase Palmer and Ben Jacoby will be composing the screenplay for the upcoming feature film. Chase Palmer and Ben Jacoby are both emerging artists.
The plot of ‘The Whisper Man’ commences with Tom Kennedy who along with his young son Jake move to a new house and a new town, Featherbank, following the death of his wife. Hoping for a fresh start and a new beginning, Tom and Jake are instead met with horrors surrounding the town’s dark past wherein twenty years ago, a serial killer Frank Carter who goes by the name, ‘The Whisper Man’ abducted and murdered five residents by luring his victims out by whispering at their windows at night. Following, Tom and Jake’s shift into their new home, a young boy vanishes and his disappearance resembles the crimes committed by the killer which in turn reignites old rumors. This is followed by Jake acting strangely hearing a whispering at his window. Now, detective Amanda Beck and Pete Willis must find the boy before it is too late.
