Following the premiere of, ‘After Everything’, the fifth film in the ‘After’ series, Hero Fiennes Tiffin is reportedly working on another project, this time a western noir centered on family feuds. Hero Fiennes Tiffin is a popular actor whose other works include, ‘First Love’, another romance film which premiered in 2022, ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ in which he played the role of young Tom Riddle, and more. Being taken up under Ruby Rock Pictures, the film is titled as ‘Mr. Smith’/ ‘Broken Cove’ and will have Hero Fiennes Tiffin portraying the titular character.
Ruby Rock Pictures is a known production company whose works include, ‘Miss Hardly’ featuring Leighton Meester, ‘Geek Girl’ a book adaptation and more. Zoe Rocha, the founder of Ruby Rock Pictures will be joining the crew for ‘Mr. Smith’ as its producer. She will be co- producing the upcoming feature film alongside, Joey Stanton and Nadine de Barros. Joey Stanton is a known producer while Nadine de Barros is the founder of Fortitude International, a production company. Some of the works under Fortitude International are, ‘The Runner’ which starred Nicolas Cage and more, ‘Exposed’ which was directed by Declan Dale, ‘Anthropoid’ which premiered in 2016, among others. The upcoming feature film will be directed by Declan O’Dwyer. ‘Declan O’Dwyer is a popular director and the recipient of several accolades who will also be composing the screenplay for ‘Mr. Smith’. As per our sources, the shooting for the upcoming feature film will commence by February, next year. ‘Mr. Smith’ will be shot in Ireland, a place that is known for its stellar landscapes and has served as the filming spot for a number of works of entertainment.
What is the Plot of ‘Mr. Smith’?
Here is a snippet of this upcoming western film for all the anticipating viewers out there. ‘Mr. Smith’ will feature two warring families who reside in a deserted coastal village in post-war Britain. Set in the 1950s, Smith is seen returning to the Irish port of Broken Cove to find his brother’s sadistic murderer and take revenge. With a list of names left by his brother to aid him in his search, Smith begins to frantically navigate the community’s core and consequentially reignites a crime family feud. Things take a turn for the worst when the body of a young woman whose name was in Smith’s list, is found in the local dam and now, the town sheriff suspects Smith in the murder. As Smith uncovers his family’s dark history he slowly realizes that his brother’s death was a trap set to lure him back to the Broken Cove.
