Young Royals has just dropped its sophomore season and fans are already eagerly looking forward to its future episodes. As of now, Young Royals season 3 has not been officially confirmed. Typically, Netflix takes a month or so before deciding on any series’ fate. Given that it is still too early, fans should not give up yet on their favorite show. Moreover, season 2 had a major cliffhanger at the end of its finale that hints that more stories and drama are along the way. With all that said. Here’s everything we know about Young Royals Season 3 from its release date, cast, plotline, and trailer.
Young Royals Season 3 Airing date: When would it air?
Young Royals is still in the initial days of talking, discussing, and negotiating. Thus, no definite release date has been yet revealed by the streaming platform or the creators. However, looking at its prior release schedule gives us a fair idea as to when the series will return for another outing. Young Royals made its debut in July 2021 and its next episodes were not aired until November 2022. With that in mind, fans could binge the next installment by late 2023 or early 2024, depending upon when the streamer gives an official go-ahead.
With Covid not being an issue in the production, we are hoping that season three could make an early arrival than season three.
Young Royals Season 3 Plotline: What would it be like?
Each season of Young Royals brings fresh drama to the love between Prince Wilhem and Simon. We expect season three will follow in the same footstep. Though the sequel has a revelation from Prince Wilhelm that left ample room for future story narratives.
After Simon agrees to date Wilhelm privately, the latter opens up about their relationship. He confesses that it was him in the leaked sex tapes, making the royal advisers and Simon immensely shocked. Season three will build on this drama and might see the duo giving viewers a taste of their love for the first time. Even though a happily ever after is not what the season will be about, the viewers will see them publicly having moments of happiness as things appear to be less complex at this point. However, August’s involvement with the leaked tapes has also sparked shock waves among the Royal Family, that is likely to take action against the culprit. Sara has reported to the Royal authorities that August is the one who created and circulated the sex tapes. It is not clear yet if Sara will continue dating August or if their relationship will see a new low.
Thus, season three has an infinite possibility of going in many directions. But we have to see what creators want the audience to watch, see and feel.
Young Royals Season 3 Trailer: When would it out?
We have no shared footage of young Royals as of now. But we promise to update this space as the trailer becomes available.
Young Royals Season 3 Cast: Who is in the cast?
We can’t wait to see our favorite characters back on screens. Though it is not yet confirmed who will be in the cast, we know for some reason that the main cast including Edvin Ryding as Prince Wilhelm of Sweden, Omar Rudberg as Simon Eriksson, Malte Gårdinger as August of Årnäs, Frida Argento as Sara Eriksson and Nikita Uggla as Felice Ehrencrona will be back for future episodes.
It is unlikely that one side character, Marcus played by Tommy Wattring will return because there is no more story to be told about the character since Simon broke up with him in season two. Furthermore, Wil’s older brother, Prince Erik (Ivar Forsling) has no way of reappearing except in a few flashbacks considering he is dead by the end of the first part.
Watch this space as we’ll update this blog as more concrete information is known about Young Royals Season 3.

What the fans can expect from Season 3 of Young Royals
(updated 11/12/2022)
In an interview with wmagazine.com, Malte Gardinger was asked if the potential third season has any chances of focusing on August’s arc, he responded:
“I have every faith in Lisa [Ambjörn] and all the other screenwriters, but I think personally, I would like to explore August’s relationship with his dad. It would be interesting to know a bit more about why he is the way he is.”
In a different interview with Oman Rudenberg, he was asked what he hopes to see in season three. “That is so hard because it can go in so many different directions,” Rudenherg told Digital Spy.
“I have a lot of ideas. But you know what? Me and Lisa Ambjörn, the head writer, want to sit down and talk about what we see and what we feel, and the ideas, and what’s actually going to happen in the story.I feel like it was a lot clearer for me when it came to season two. It was like, “This happened in season one. This can happen in season two.” With season three, it’s like, “Now we’re talking. Now it’s getting real.””
He continued: “So I don’t know. One thing that I really just want to see is Simon and Wilhelm – will they be happy? So we can get a taste of the love. The 100% love – the unconditional love – and being together. That’s something that I want to see.”
It can’t be like that all the time. It has to be interesting. It has to wake the feelings. But that’s something that I’m looking forward to, to see them like a “we against the world” kind of thing. That would be so beautiful to see.”
