Trinity Seven Season 2: Release Date, Characters, Plot

Trinity Seven is adapted from a manga series that was written by Kenji Saito and illustrated by Akinari Nao. It was made into a light novel by Kenjo Saito before it was launched as a television adaptation by Seven Arcs Picture. Trinity Seven’s first installment aired in October 2014 which was followed by two spin-offs. In February 2017, Trinity Seven the Movie: The Eternal Library and the Alchemist Girl was premiered, and later in 2019, Trinity Seven: Heavens Library and Crimson Lord were dropped. In early 2019, the show’s creators announced the return of Trinity Seven. However, since then, there is no word about it. So, is Trinity Seven season two happening anytime soon? The plot of Trinity Seven Season two

Trinity Seven follows the story of Araga Kasuga, with an ordinary life unless a dreadful occurrence, Black Sun transforms his destiny. The Black Sun causes a Breakdown Phenomenon that sweeps his city to ruins while taking away his cousin, Hijiri Kasuga. Hijiri puts a grimoire around Araga’s neck with the intent to protect him. After Hijiri’s and his family’s loss, Araga’s world turns gray and gloomy. He pleads for a normal life again and the magical book takes memories of destruction and personal losses off his mind. A visit from a mage, Lilith Asami dispels the spell, and Araga is forced to remember every detail of his past life.

 Now, he has two options, either hand the grimoire to Lilith or face death. Araga instead joins a secret magic school, Royal Biblia Academy, and brings back Hijiri, who is still alive. At the school of magic, Araga meets Trinity Seven i.e. seven girls who are the masters of extraordinary magic that would assist the boy in acquiring magical abilities and delving deeper into the world of magic. Trinity Seven is a romantic comedy fantasy anime series. Currently, there is no plot revelation by the show’s creators but we could expect that the second installment would pick from the first chapter’s end in addition to exploring new dimensions of the story. 

When would Trinity Seven Season two be released?

Originally, season two of Trinity Seven was due to air in April 2019. Yet due to unprecedented circumstances, the second installment is put on hold. There were speculations that Trinity Seven’s sequel would be dropped by late 2021 or early 2022 on streaming platforms but so far we still haven’t got a second season nor did we hear anything from the makers regarding a new season. However, we are expecting that we see more of the fantasy town although nothing has been confirmed.

Characters of Trinity Seven Season two

We are assuming that Trinity Seven consisting of Lilith Asami, Arin Kannazuki, Levi Kazama, Yui Kurata, Lieselotte Sherlock, Mira Yamana, and Akio Fudou would return for the next season to help Araga in saving his people and city. Araga Kasuga is likely to take the center stage in the story. We could also expect new characters depending upon how the creators plan to take the story further. In absence of any concrete details relating to the cast, we are dubious about who would be the new additions to the cast crew.
