A pirate concealed massive chunks of gold located on Adak Island in 1982. But sadly, the pirate passed away in one of his expeditions and nobody knows where the exact location of the treasure was buried. During the 2nd World War, a group of soldiers uncovered two cans of concealed gold but it looks like the rest of the cans are still a puzzle and cannot be easily discovered.
In short, the gold is not only hard to find, but the Adak island is spread with bombs intact, in the outcome of the 2nd World War, making it extremely difficult to track down the hidden treasure. Adak Island is on the verge of a collapse due to economic crises and the gold is worth roughly $356 million and is the only hope to save the Island.
The Mayor of Adak, Thom Splitter, sponsors experienced and professional treasure hunters to help in locating the concealed treasure. But the catch is, they could even die in this pursuit.
Pirate Gold of Adak Island Season 2: Is it Renewed?
As of yet, the series has not been greenlit for a second season. It is not known if the series would be back for more since the reviews were mostly negative as many accused the show of being scripted and fake which created a buzz and piqued the interest of many to watch the show and greatly boosted the viewership.
