Will Gotham Season 6 Happen?
Unfortunately, no. Gotham season 6 is not happening! The series has ended with season five as the final season. In the future, there could be a sequel or a spin-off. For now, we’ll have to keep our eyes peeled on official announcements.
Gotham is an American crime drama television series. The show is based on DC’s Batman Franchise. The TV series first premiered on September 22, 2014, and ended on April 25, 2019. All seasons of the series aired on the FOX Channel. After the success of all five seasons, the series gained insane popularity and has a huge fandom worldwide.
The series stars Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, Robin Lord Taylor, Cory Michael Smith, David Mazouz, Sean Pertwee, Erin Richards, Camren Bicondova, and Chris Chalk. The Gotham series portrays the early days of the then-police detective James Gordon (Benjamin McKenzie) and the most iconic Gotham City characters before they became to be known as legends. In the fifth season and the last season, Bruce Wayne (played by David Mazouz) completely transformed into Batman.
Gotham Season 6 Release Dates
According to the ratings of the Gotham series, the first three seasons received decent positive reviews, but then it slowly started declining with the release of the fourth season, which also caused the show makers to lose motivation for the following seasons. However, the series’ fifth and final season received decent ratings and left with no strings attached. The concluding scene was clean and satisfying. Therefore, there is no possibility that “Gotham” will return for a sixth season.
Is Gotham Season 6 Renewed?
The chances of renewing the Gotham series is quite slim. Fans from all over the world have even demanded a renewal of season 6, but the show’s rating was average when season 4 was being aired. Back in May 2018, FOX already announced that Gotham show’s final season will be the fifth season and wrap up the Batman prequel series.

In the final season of the Gotham series, it ended up with a total of 12 episodes which was way lesser compared to the other two seasons which had a total of 22 episodes. Here are the list of episodes:

Henceforth, it is highly unlikely that we will get a season 6. As I mentioned earlier, the popularity of the show was waning worldwide and so was the rating. Before it proved to be a huge loss, Fox opted not to renew the show and thus decided to put an end to the series with a satisfying conclusion.
