The crime series is returning with a new season because Truth be Told season 3 is officially renewed by Apple TV+.
The series is based on the novel ‘Are You Sleeping’ written by Kathleen Barber and features Octavia Spencer, Lizzy Caplan, Aaron Paul, Elizabeth Perkins, Michael Beach, Mekhi Phifer, Tracie Thoms, Haneefah Wood, and Ron Cephas Jones. Truth be Told is conceived and screenplay by Nichelle Tramble Spellman who also serves as an executive producer. It made its debut on December 6, 2019, on Apple TV+.

When is Season 3 of Truth Be Told releasing?
The second season was released on August 20, 2021, consisting of ten episodes. We assume that the third season of Truth be Told will have eight or more episodes.
Currently, the official release date for the upcoming release is yet to be announced. But we do know that a second season is happening as there is more to explore for Poppy.
If the production begins by this year, expect to see the new episodes in early 2023.
The Cast of Truth Be Told Season 3
The following actors expected to return in the upcoming third season includes–

Additionally, Gabrielle Union (Being Mary Jane, Ugly Betty) is reported to have joined the cast in the upcoming third season.
As per TVLINE, Newcomer Union will portray Eva. The third season will see Poppy and Eva working on a new case.
Truth Be Told Season 3 Plot: Expectations
The crime series will return for a third season on Apple TV+. The series, inspired by Kathleen Barber’s novel of the exact title, stars Octavia Spencer as podcaster Poppy Scoville-Parnell, risking everything to seek justice.
As the official synopsis reads Poppy Scoville “risks everything — including her life — to pursue truth and justice.” The series executes a “unique glimpse into America’s obsession with true crime podcasts and challenges its viewers to consider the consequences when the pursuit of justice is placed on a public stage.”
In the third season, Poppy will investigate new cases which will involve Eva. As of now, it’s not known if these two ladies will work together or Eva playing the bad guy but we anticipate that there are plenty of surprises and mysteries in the forthcoming season.
