When the Norwegian superhero series “Ragnarok” made its debut on January 31, 2020, it became an instant hit making fans crave for more. Following the success of the first season, Netflix renewed the series for a second run which was released on May 27, 2021. Now that the second season is done and dusted, the question lingering in our mind is whether or not a third season will happen anytime soon?

Is Season 3 of Ragnarok Renewed or Canceled?
Netflix have officially greenlit the series for a third season.
As per star Herman Herman Tømmeraas who portrays Fjor, has revealed that a third season of Ragnarok is in the works and fans can expect an announcement soon regarding the upcoming season.
Speaking to DigitalSpy, Herman Tømmeraas was asked about the potential third season back in July 2021, to which he replied: “I still think it’s kind of up to the Netflix gods. But I think there’s going to be some news during the summer – hopefully. I don’t really know. But I hope,” he told the outlet.
Ragnarok Season 3 Release Date: When Will It Premiere?
We now know that Netflix has officially commissioned the series for the third season and we can expect the new episodes to arrive sooner than you think. Therefore, the earliest we can anticipate a release date is around the end of 2022, or so we hope.

In the second season, we witnessed that the world serpent is roaming free and is the only source of weapon to kill Thor. As per the legendary tale, the serpent is called ‘Jörmungandr’ which grows so enormous that it surrounds the whole planet and is destined to finish off Thor. Magne must grear up and be ready to face this ginormous monster in the third season, but at the same time he needs to be careful as the treacherous Laurits has the ultimate weapon ‘Jörmungandr.’ So Magne in order to survive, he must defeat the world serpent. The third season will be the ultimate showdown and we can’t wait to see it.
