The Witcher is a fantasy adventure streaming TV series conceived by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich for Netflix. In a recent interview with the series creator Lauren Schmidt Hissrich reveals that the penning for the script for the forthcoming season has been completed this December but she did not mention when the production will commence.

The cast of The Witcher Season 3: Who’s returning in the upcoming third series of The Witcher?
It’s not known if all the cast members that appeared in the previous seasons will return in the third season but we can expect to see the infamous trio Henry, Anya, and Freya return and play their respective roles.

Also, the third season will witness an all-out battle that involves the Nilfgaar, the elves, and the sorcerers. So it’s likely that Mimi M. Khasiya (as Fringilla Vigo), Media Simson (as Francesca Findabair), Bart Edwards (as Duny/ Emperor Emhyr), Mahesh Jadu (as Vilgefortz), and MyAnna Buring (as Tissaia de Vries) will return in the upcoming season.
The Witcher Season 3 plot: What to expect from the story?
Plot details for The Witcher Season 3 are not entirely known or revealed yet but the show’s creator Hissrich via TechRadar disclosed that the third season will be inspired by the second novel series in The Witcher Saga titled “The Time of Contempt.”
In the upcoming season, Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer will explore Aretuza so that Ciri can resume her training to master her magic skills. Unfortunately, a rebellion starts in Aretuza, and the trio gets divided.
The second season leaves an opening for the story to continue in Season 3 since it ended on a cliffhanger. As mentioned, there’s going to be bloodshed, Ciri is being hunted down by The Wild Hunt and The Continent. Will the trio make it out alive?
