The popular streaming service acquired the rights for it last year. The film would be directed by Bridesmaids and A Simple Favor fame director Paul Feig.

The School for Good and Evil: Release Date
The film is an adaptation of a book of the same name. Just like Harry Potter, the film traverses the parts of the books into live-action feature films. Shortly after the release of the first book Universal Pictures acquired rights for making the film.
In 2020 Netflix announced that it would take over and release a film adaptation of the novel. Although there has been no news about the exact date of release of the film, it is expected that the film would be released on June 6, 2022.

The film is set to cast big names for the leading characters. The cast for the show includes Charlize Theron as Lady Lesso, Michelle Young as Professor Anemone, Laurence Fishburne as The Schoolmaster, Kerry Washington as Professor Dovey, Sofia Wylie as Agatha. The additional cast for the film would be Earl Cave as Hort, Kit Young as Rafal, Sophie Anne Caruso as Sophie, and Jamie Flatter as Tedros.
The School for Good and Evil: Plot
The plot of the film is based on the storyline of a book written by Soman Chainani. The School for Good and Evil is expected to follow the story of a young girl named Sophie who yearns for adventure in her life. She dwells in a world called Gavaldon, where it is an honor to be selected in The School of Good or The School of Evil. Sophie and her friend Agatha learn that fate does not lie in the hands of the beholder as they are sent to different schools. The two friends are sent to schools that they do not desire. In the institution, people are trained to become fairy-like heroes and villains.
