The Light In The Hall or known as Y Golau (Welsh) is a dual-language murder thriller series filmed in both English and Welsh for Channel 4, S4C, BBCiPlayer, and Sundance Now. The series stars Alexandra Roach, Iwan Rheon, and Joanna Scanlan, the six-episode thriller series depicts the tale of journalist Cat Donato (Alexandra Roach) who is prepared to reveal the truth behind who murdered her former best friend named Ela Roberts two decades back. Little did she know Ela’s mother Sharon (Joanna Scanlan) has also been looking for answers on what really happened on that fateful day.
The series, inspired in rural Carmarthenshire, is penned by Regina Moriarty and helmed by Andy Newbery and Chris Foster.

Has Season 2 of The Light in the Hall Been Renewed?
The Light in the Hall has not been renewed as of now. The series just recently finished airing and fans are going crazy over this thriller series. And even though many are awaiting a second season, there has been no official word yet from the showrunners about a new season.
The dual-language thriller series originally consisted of a limited series indicating that the showrunners have no plans of producing any new episodes in the future.
Nonetheless, there have been tons of limited series in the past that have managed to go beyond a single season, and hopefully, The Light in the Hall also manages to unexpectedly get its renewal. Fingers crossed!
But given the finale of The Light in the Hall, a renewal may likely not happen.
The Light in the Hall Season 2 Release Date
The six-episode series was launched on May 15, 2022, and received positive reviews from the audience. However, when it comes to the air date for season two, nothing has been revealed. Moreover, the series is considered a limited edition and it is quite unlikely that the creators will make another season.
On the off chance that renewal happens, a new season will be out sometime this year or in 2024.
