The Elder Scrolls 6: News
The Elder Scrolls 6 won’t be returning anytime soon as it will probably take some time. Well, at least for a few years as it is still in the design phase. So now fans need to wait patiently for the release of Elder Scrolls 6. Director and executive producer of Bethesda Game Studios, in an interview Todd Howard said: “It’s good to think of The Elder Scrolls 6 as still being in a design [phase].” He further added, “But we’re checking the tech: ‘Is this going to handle the things we want to do in that game?’ Every game will have some new suites of technology so Elder Scrolls 6 will have some additions on to Creation Engine 2 that game is going to require.”
In an interview with IGN, just before E3 2019, Todd Howard cautioned that fans need to wait patiently for Elder Scrolls 6.
“The gap in between is going to be long. It already is. On one hand, I think it’s good to miss things. I think that makes people come to it with really, really fresh eyes, and I think when they eventually—eventually—see the game and what we have in mind, they’ll understand the gap more in terms of technology and what we want it to do.”
For now we can say that The Elder Scrolls 6 is under development. But we do not know exactly how long it’s going to take. Maybe several years? Maybe a decade? Or maybe not. We’re still not sure yet. But we do know for sure that it’s coming. Everyone is so hyped about it, especially the fans who are excited to find out what the Elder Scrolls 6 game has in store for them.
It’ll be fascinating to see how The Elder Scrolls 6 stands up against a game like Avowed, which has some similarities to the Elder Scrolls games. As the next generation of gaming, the expectations are quite high and hopefully, Elder Scrolls 6 lives up to its predecessors and Bethesda or maybe even surpass them and thus provide us with the best RPG experiences.
The Elder Scrolls 6 Release Date
Don’t get your hopes too high. It will probably take some few years or a decade for Elder Scrolls 6 to release. So, thumb’s down. But once again, we have no clue about it.
Todd Howard (via IGN),l “everyone should be very patient.” Peter Hines, SVP of global marketing at Bethesda also, tweeted: “If you’re coming at me for details now and not years from now, I’m failing to properly manage your expectations.”
We’re not really expecting The Elder Scrolls 6 to have a release date or year anytime soon. Before the game gets released, Bethesda needs to go through an entire sci-fi RPG first and we can only assume or imagine that it’s going to take several years.
E3 2020, Pete Hines said: “If you’re coming at me for details now and not years from now, I’m failing to properly manage your expectations.”
The developers are maintaining a tight-lipped about The Elder Scrolls 6. There are no hints or details given so far. We will have to wait for more official announcements to know more about The Elders Scrolls 6. Till then stay tuned for more updated information.
Will Elder Scrolls 6 be Xbox exclusive?
It looks like the much-anticipated game The Elder Scrolls 6 will be exclusively for Xbox. As per recent speculations, the game is designed to be an Xbox exclusive, following the announcement for Starfield which is reported as a PC and Xbox exclusive, it’s quite likely that Elder Scrolls 6 will pursue the same direction. Nevertheless, Todd Howard stated “it’s hard to imagine” not introducing The Elder Scrolls 6 to numerous platforms.
Also regarding the Xbox exclusivity, the CFO of Xbox Tim Stuart clarified reports about the game being an Xbox exclusive. Phil Spencer said, “What we’ll do in the long run is we don’t have intentions of just pulling all of Bethesda content out of Sony or Nintendo or otherwise. But what we want is we want that content to be either first or better or best, or pick your differentiated experience, on our platforms. We will want Bethesda content to show up the best on our platforms”.
Spencer in an announcement wrote: “Just as they took the bold first steps to bring The Elder Scrolls franchise to the original Xbox, Bethesda were early supporters of Xbox Game Pass, bringing their games to new audiences across devices and have been actively investing in new gaming technology like cloud streaming of games.”
Elder Scrolls 6 will not be an Xbox series X and PC exclusive but if speculations are true about the game on Xbox Game Pass is a huge addition as those who own PlayStation 5 will probably have to purchase the game at the entire rate.
