Will there be a season 4 of The Cuphead Show?
The Cuphead Show was first announced in July 2019. The series made its global OTT debut via Netflix in February 2022. As of yet, Netflix is yet to renew The Cuphead Show for season 4. But the question is: will it be renewed? Our guess is yes.
The most obvious hint is that the third season ended in a major cliffhanger. In the final moments of episode 13, The Devil says that “since Cuphead has taken something of great value from him, he will take something of great value from Cuphead.”
As the animated series is loosely based on the video game, the viewers know that it’s now up to Cuphead to rescue his brother. In the interview, Wasson shared that a total of 36 episodes had been ordered by Netflix, which would premiere in three separate drops, “presented as two- and even three-partners.”
“We were originally using the old theatrical shorts as a model for structure, but we found it was hard to stay within a seven-minute format. These stories wanted to be a little longer, so it caps off at something like 10 1/2 or 11 minutes, though each episode is a little different in running time.” – Dave Wasson, via Animation Magazine.

The Cuphead Show Season 4 Release Date
One may wonder if The Cuphead Show will return for a fourth season as the show marks its one anniversary on Netflix (and is trending once more on Twitter). Regretfully, it appears that the answer is now no, although things could change in the future.
One of Netflix’s greatest animated programmes to date is The Cuphead Show!, which had its premiere in February 2022. The series continued, releasing three seasons in all throughout 2022, with the last season premiering in November of that year.
The television show centres on the exploits of Cuphead and his brother Mugman, and it is based on the video game.
The Cuphead Show’s future has not yet been formally announced by Netflix!
It’s unlikely that The Cuphead Show! will return for a fourth season, though, considering Netflix’s past in the animation genre.
Regarding potential developments after season 3, the following was said in answer to our inquiry:
“I have too many ideas for episodes, so there had better be more! We’ll see, but I hope there’s a continuation or a revival of some kind.”

As of January 2023, The Cuphead Show is yet to be renewed for season 4.
