The Bad Guys is an upcoming American animated movie based on the children’s book that has sold more than 8 million copies worldwide penned by Aaron Blabey of the exact title produced by DreamWorks Animation. The film is directed by Pierre Prifel and the writing duties are assigned to Etan Cohen and Hilary Winston. Its producers are Rebecca Huntley and Damon Ross and executive producers are Blabey Cohen alongside Jeff Berg and Patrick Hughes.

Nearly a year ago, Deadline reported that DreamWorks Animation slated The Bad Guys for an initial release in 2021. However, that plan could not be fulfilled due to the Covid-19 pandemic and thus pushed back the release further in 2022. On the official website of DreamWorks, the film is now slated to be released on April 15, 2022.

The Bad Guys Plot: What to expect?
Not much is known about what the plot will be like but according to the filmmakers, the upcoming animated movie will have a bit of a rip-off genre similar to the film ‘Shrek’ and ‘Kung Fu Panda.’ So, our guesses are the storyline will be a combination of fairy tales and some actions. The movie will centre the five criminals who are anthropomorphic animals that love to commit robbery. Their names are Ms Tarantula, Mr Piranha, Mr Snake, Mr Shark and Mr Wolf. However, one day they decided to leave their past behind as criminals and chose to do good deeds that will benefit everyone. We have no idea what’s in their mind and what they will do next but whatever they have decided on, it is going to be a tough challenge. Will they be able to take on the challenges? Or will they go back to their old ways?
