I’m sure the Gen-Zs probably have not heard of this old gem “Taxi” and most likely would not have a clue on what the show is even about despite it being one of the most successful shows from the late 1970s to early 1980s.
Well putting it simply, Taxi is an American sitcom created by James L. Brooks, Stan Daniels, David Davis, and Ed. Weinberger. The show first aired on the ABC network on the 12th of September 1978. The sitcom received 18 Emmy Awards, comprising three for Outstanding Comedy Series. It concentrates on the daily lives of a few New York City taxi drivers and their vicious dispatchers. It stars Judd Hirsch, Jeff Conaway, Danny DeVito, Marilu Henner, Tony Danza, Randall Carver, Andy Kaufman, Christopher Lloyd, and Carol Kane.
The sitcom was produced by the John Charles Walters Company, in partnership with Paramount Network Television.

As of now, there is no news about the comedy series coming back. So it’s very much unlikely that fans would get to see a sixth season. However, if a new season is ever announced, we can expect to see it sometime in 2024.
