Will There Be a Season 2 Tales from the Loop?
When the first season of Tales from the Loop premiered, it was well-applauded by the audience and critics alike. However, it appears that Amazon still has not yet commissioned the series for a second run.
The first season came out over a year ago and till now not a single word has been heard from the showrunner or the cast of the show. Fans are confused why Amazon still hasn’t greenlit for season 2 despite its success. If the waiting game goes on, it could only mean one thing which is that the series may be discontinued.
Nevertheless, we cannot be too certain for now as there is no concrete information to prove that the series is discontinued. It’s also most likely that the show was only planned to be a one-season series and not beyond that, but until we hear any further announcement from the showmakers, we can not assume things. So the best is to exercise patience and wait.
Release Date of Tales from the Loop Season 2
Amazon has not yet renewed Tales from the Loop season 2. The first season was a success, but it’s not particularly a huge hit although it received generally favorable reviews, which indicates that a second series will most likely happen or Amazon may choose not to renew the series since it wasn’t a huge hit or anything.
The first season was released on April 3, 2020, and more than a year has passed since it was out and there has been no official update from the show makers. We do not know the exact details of why they are taking so much time to renew the next installment.
Nevertheless, on the off chance that season 2 returns, fans can expect to see the new season sometime in 2023.
