Sweet Tooth is an adaption of Jerry Leimer’s comic book ‘Sweet Tooth’ that comprises 40-issue. Chapter one of the series is likely to cover the book’s early issue.
Sweet Tooth Season 1 is set in a catastrophic world that is ravaged by a fatal virus ‘The Great Crumble.’ However, the greatest mystery revolves around whether the virus came first or the hybrids. The latter are fictional creatures who are half-human and half-animal. Ghus, the protagonist, is a young boy born a hybrid. He dwells in dark woods lof Nebruka with his unstable father for a decade. After his parent’s demise, he is left to live on his own. It is his chance encounter with Jefferd that marks the beginning of an exciting voyage ahead. Gus and Jefferd set off to seek answers about the emergence of hybrids and Jeffered’s past in a world full of allies and follies. The series is filmed in one of the world’s safest corners in today’s time, New Zealand. With the production started in late 2020, Sweet Tooth Season 1 is schooled to be released on 4th June 2021. There is no denying that this is one of the mega summer releases on Netflix.
Sweet Tooth Season 1: Cast
The Legion’s fame, Christian Convery will be the lead character, Gus/ Sweet Tooth. Gus is fond of chocolates, therefore the name Sweet Tooth matches his personality trait. Nonso Anozie will be seen opposite Convery, in a mysterious role of a loner, Jefferd.
Will Forte, who gained popularity from its comic appearance in The Last Man on Earth, will be cast as Gus’s father. Adeel Akhtar will also be part of the series in the role of Dr. Singh, who engages in scientific research to reveal the unexpected occurrence of events.
James Brolin’s narration will add to the dramatic effect the series promises to unfold. Besides these, Aliza Vellani, Stefania Lavie Owen, and Dania Ramirez will be seen in supporting roles.
