Who are the new cast members for the upcoming series ‘Strong Woman Kang Nam’?
In the upcoming series of ‘Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon’ the titular role will be played by Lee Yoo-mi. Many of you will recognize her for playing a small role as Ji-Yeon, number 240 in the massively popular series ‘Squid Game.’ In the series, she sacrificed herself in order to let Sae-byeok win during the marble match.
The actress also earned quite the recognition for being one of the most detestable characters in another popular series called ‘All of Us Are Dead.’ Lee is now all set to star in the title role in season 2 of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Joining her is Kim Jung-eun who will be playing the role of Nam-soon’s mother. Portraying the role of Nam-soon’s grandma is none other than Kim Hae-sook (Emperor in Tomorrow).
It was also reported that actor Ong Seong-woo will play the role of a detective named Kang and also the love interest of Nam-soon. The villain will be portrayed by Byun Woo-seok.

What to expect from the storyline of ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’ Season 2?
As per Soompi, several media platforms have confirmed the second season of having a different title as ‘Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon.’ The upcoming season will not follow the previous season’s storyline of the two main characters Bong-soon and Min-hyuk after the ending. Rather, viewers will be Bong-soon’s distant cousin named Nam-soon, who also has the same superhuman power.
The official synopsis by AsianWiki team reads:
“Kang Nam-Soon (Lee Yoo-Mi) has superhuman strength. She went missing as a kid in Mongolia. Now as an adult, she comes to Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea to find her parents. She finally meets her mother Hwang Geum-Joo (Kim Jung-Eun). Her mother is a wealthy woman and is a resident of Gangnam. After she lost her daughter, Hwang Geum-Joo tried to find her daughter and she also tried to live a righteous life, obsessed with doing good deeds. Gil Joong-Gan (Kim Hae-Sook) is Hwang Geum-Joo’s mother and Kang Nam-Soon’s grandmother. The grandmother and mother were also born with superhuman strength like Kang Nam-Soon.”
The synopsis continued: “Somehow, Kang Nam-Soon, her mother Hwang Geum-Joo and her grandmother Gil Joong-Gan get involved in a drug case that takes place in Gangnam. Detective Kang Hee-Sik (Ong Seong-Wu) begins to work with the 3 women on the drug case. Kang Nam-Soon also becomes attracted to Detective Kang Hee-Sik.”
