To the fans of DC and Stargirl, we’ve got both good and bad news for you guys. The good news is – based on DC Comics superhero Courtney Whitmore, Stargirl, an American superhero television series, is set to release on HBO Max on Friday, January 6, 2022. Bam Smack Pow with a tweet confirmed the release date. On the other hand, we have an update, which you’d never want to hear. Stargirl season 3 will be the last installment of the franchise.
The Deadline confirmed that there’d be no season 4. Bassinger during a podcast with Wayne Ayers explained the reason behind cancelation and said, “Geoff [Johns] was so smart because obviously there’s been a lot of changes in the CW and the Warner Brothers this past year, so the future of any show was not quite certain and because of that, he went the extra mile and shot two different endings, because he did not want to leave the fans with all these question marks.”
Will there be Stargirl season 4?
When the cancellation of the Stratgirl series was initially announced, no appropriate reason was officially announced for the cancellation. Later it was announced by the CW’s end that CW CEO Mark Pedowitz stepped down from his role in October 2022 due to some internal matter. This could be one of the reasons why Stargirl was pulled under tow.

Stargirl Season 4 Release Date?
The series’ first season debuted on May 18, 2020, on the DC universe, and ended on August 10, 2020. Exactly after a year, the second season premiered on August 10, 2021, on the DC universe. HBO Max took over the streaming rights after season 2 and renewed the third installment in May 2021 which premiered on August 31, 2022. In October 2022, the series got canceled after the third season.
