The renewal announcement arrives shortly after the series completed production on the third season.

We’re excited to keep the train running into season four.”

To know more about the upcoming fourth season, here’s everything we know about it.
Snowpiercer season 4 release date: When is it?
There is no concrete information when it comes to the release date of the Snowpiercer season 4 but we do know that it has been renewed other than that further announcement is yet to be proved by the show makers.
“We have been greenlit for season 4!” star Daveed Diggs shouts excitedly in the clip, he also thanked the “loyal fans” of the show. He explained: “Obviously, this wouldn’t have happened without you. If you liked season 1 and 2, I have no reason to believe you won’t love season 3 and 4. It only gets bigger and more Snowpiercery-er.”
Currently, the third season is airing and has launched two episodes with eight more to go. The third season continued the story where the second season left off. As per The Hollywood Reporter, “season three will pick up shortly after that and also continue to follow Wilford (Sean Bean) as he tries to consolidate control over the Snowpiercer.”
It’s difficult to predict the exact air date of the fourth instalment but the series has so far been releasing one season each year and the sooner that we can expect the new episodes to arrive is by mid-2023. The fourth season likely consists of ten episodes just like the previous seasons.
The cast of Snowpiercer season 4: Who’s in it?
In the second season, the cast members that appeared are Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs along with Mickey Sumner, Alison Wright, Annalise Basso, Sheila Vand, Roberto Urbina, Susan Park, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Iddo Goldberg, Sam Otto, and Jaylin Fletcher. The major cast in season 2 was also joined by Steven Ogg, Sean Bean, and Rowan Blanchard.
The current season also stars Mickey Sumner, Iddo Goldberg, Lena Hall, Archie Panjabi, Katie McGuinness, Annalise Basso, Mike O’Malley, Roberto Urbina, Sam Otto, Chelsea Harris, Sheila Vand, Rowan Blanchard, and Steven Ogg.
We expect that the fourth season cast members may remain the same but we’re not sure yet as the third season has only two episodes launched at the moment and cast members may vary depending on how the third series ends.
As for the plot, details are scarce. However, the fourth season will pick up from where the third season left off. We’ll update this post as soon as we hear any news.
With the sudden rise in omicron, production is likely to be postponed for the fourth season and this may greatly affect the air date as well. So we’re not sure if fans will get to see the new episodes by mid-2023 but we’re hoping that it doesn’t delay further.
