Fox announced a new series titled “Accused” which is slated to be launched in 2023. Joining the cast in the newly announced series are Shawn Doyle, Robert Wisdom, and Michael Chiklis among many others.
Inspired by the BBC’s BAFTA-winning crime collection, ‘Accused’ unfolds in a courthouse on the defendants, with spectators not understanding anything about their criminality or how they end up being on trial. Informed from the defendant’s viewpoint through flashbacks, the series carries a mirror up to existing times with suggestive and expressive stories. In the end, viewers will find out how a typical person gets winded up in unusual events, and how one whimsical judgment can affect the path of that life and others’ lives forever.
The series is developed by Howard Gordon and is executively produced by Alex Gansa and David Shore along with Gordon. ‘Accused’ once again courageously puts up with the superheated topics of our period. The program also features cinematic patronage and production deals steered by Award-winning talent.
The previously announced cast members in ‘Accused’ are Shawn Doyle in the role of Eric Broder, Robert Wisdom will play Mitch Becker, and Michael Chiklis will portray Dr. Scott Corbett.
Shawn Doyle is a Canadian actor popularly recognized for his roles in “The Expanse,” “The Eleventh Hour,” “Big Love,” “24,” “Desperate Housewives,” and “Star Trek: Discovery.”
Robert Ray Wisdom is an American actor, who is widely known for his performance as Howard Colvin aka Bunny in “The Wire,” Norman “Lechero” St. John in Fox’s “Prison Break,” and in the 2021 Hulu film “Vacation Friends” as Harold Conway.
Michael Charles Chiklis is also an American actor, TV director/producer and musician. He is popularly known for his role as Los Angeles Police Department Detective Vic Mackey on the drama series “The Shield,” in which he won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2002 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He was again nominated for the same category in 2003. He portrayed Commissioner Tony Scali on the drama series “The Commish,” and The Thing in two “Fantastic Four” movies. His other works include “No Ordinary Family,” and the CBS crime drama series“Vegas.” Chiklis played Curly Howard in the film “The Three Stooges.” The actor has had an extensive career over the years, the actor went on to join the cast of “American Horror Story” in 2014 for its season four, “American Horror Story: Freak Show.” In 2015, Chiklis was cast as a series regular in the role of Nathaniel Barnes, in season two of Gotham.
‘Accused’ is currently in pre-production and is coming out in 2023 consisting of ten episodes.
