Conceived by Nikhil Advani and dialogues penned by Kausar Munir and Abhay Pannu, Rocket Boys is an Indian Hindi-language drama streaming TV series on SonyLIV. The series is inspired by the lives of Homi J. Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai. Helmed by Abhay Pannu and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur with Monisha Advani, and Madhu Bhojwani under the production company of Roy Kapur Films and Emmay Ent., respectively. The cast in this series includes Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh alongside Regina Cassandra.
Upon release, the series received a positive response, and with the second season that was launched this March 2023, fans can’t help but be excited about what it has in store for the series’ third season. But the question is, will Rocket Boys produce a third season? Well, let’s find out below.
Rocket Boys Season 3: Is it Renewed?
As of now, there has been no news concerning a third season of Rocket Boys. Moreover, the series is considered a limited series so it’s unlikely that there will be a third season.
In an interview with Tellychakkar, Jim Sarbh who plays Dr. Homi J. Bhabha was asked if Rocket Boys’ third season will happen. Sarbh replied, “No, it’s a limited series. It was always planned to be two seasons. After you watch Rocket Boys 2, you will see it is difficult to make Rocket Boys 3.”
So with that said, it is clear that the series has ended with its second season.
Rocket Boys Season 3 Release Date
There is no release date for season 3 of Rocket Boys as Jim Sarbh clearly conveyed that a third season will not happen since the series is a limited series and was meant to end at season 2.

The Plot For Season 3 of Rocket Boys
As mentioned earlier, it’s unlikely that a third season will be produced based on what Sarbh said.
Talking to Deadline, Nikkhil Advani and Siddharth Roy Kapur illustrated whilst no solid judgments have been ruled out, the series’ previous season’s ending has been deliberately left loose for a ‘‘new generation’’ of tales.
“We’ll think about it and sit down with SonyLIV when the time is right. There are new generations of scientists, and the story of our nuclear and space programmes could be extended all the way through to contemporary times.”
