Sonya Kelly’s ‘The Last Return’ is a spectacular exercise in stretching out a sketch that by rights should have maybe ten minutes of life in it out for almost an hour and a half.
The entire show is set to the final performance of a show by a playwright called ‘Oppenheimer’.
Is Rebecca O’Mara actually joining the cast of ‘The Last Return’?
On September 1, 2022, Druid officially announced that the famous Irish actor Rebecca O’Mara is finally joining the cast of their five-star production of The Last Return, Sonya Kelly’s award-winning new comedy.
Directed by Sara Joyce, The Last Return is an American upcoming movie that is going to run at the Gate Theatre from 13 October to 5 November as part of this year’s Dublin Theatre Festival.
Rebecca was famous for her excellence in Smother, Herself, Red Rock, and Line of Duty. She won an Irish Times Theatre Award for the best supporting role in Druid’s 1018 released comedy drama film. She was also seen in Druid’s 2016 production of Helen and I by Meadhbh McHugh.
Speaking on the disclosure, Actor Rebecca O’Mara stated ‘I am thrilled to be working with Druid and performing on the Gate stage as part of this year’s Dublin Theatre Festival. I love playing Sonya Kelly characters; her comic writing is a gift and it’s a real joy for me to bring them to life. I can’t wait to share this brilliant show with Dublin audiences.’
In addition, Garry Hynes, Druid’s Artistic Director said ‘I’m delighted that Rebecca O’Mara is joining the cast of The Last Return. The Last Return Trailer?
As of now, there’s been no official confirmation about the trailer of the Last Return. That being said, the trailer isn’t released now. And it won’t be out any time soon.
The trailer generally comes out one or two months before the actual release of the show. You can expect the trailer to be released a month before the concrete arrival of the show.
